Please use only tips you understand &#8211; if you don&#8217;t know what a <q>factory reset<\/q> means, you do not want to find out :)<!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Explanation<\/h4>\n<p>\u201ePinch\u201c means using 2 fingers to zoom in our out (Google this if you don&#8217;t know the word). The buttons are depicted here:<br \/>\n<a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chipwreck.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/galaxy-s2-buttons-e1328829284105.jpg\" alt=\"Samsung Galaxy SII buttons\" title=\"galaxy-s2-buttons\" width=\"210\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6824\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>User interface<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"linklist\">\n<li>Scrolling:<br \/>\n&#8211; Use two fingers to scroll until fingers are released.<br \/>\n&#8211; Use three fingers to scroll fast until top\/bottom.<\/li>\n<li>Phone wake up: Via <strong>home<\/strong> or <strong>power<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Hold <strong>menu<\/strong>: Quick access Android search.<\/li>\n<li>Double click <strong>home<\/strong>: Quick access voice commands.<\/li>\n<li>Screenshot: Press <strong>home<\/strong> and <strong>power<\/strong> simultaneously. Screenshots are saved in <kbd>\/sdcard\/ScreenCapture\/<\/kbd><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Home screen<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"linklist\">\n<li>Multiple home screens: Touch the dots to switch directly to a screen or hold and drag left\/right to scroll very fast.<\/li>\n<li>Changing shortcuts at the bottom:\u00a0Click \u201eApplications\u201c (bottom right), then <strong>menu<\/strong>, click \u201eEdit\u201c: Now change the three (left) icons via drag &amp; drop. Afterwards click <strong>menu<\/strong> and choose \u201eSave..\u201c.<\/li>\n<li>Quick brightness change: Hold the notification bar (on the top) and drag left\/right to modify brightness (if not set to auto).<\/li>\n<li>Quick view current date: Hold the notification bar (on the top).<\/li>\n<li>Pinch home screen to view all home screens and add\/delete them.<\/li>\n<li>Pinch application screen to view all application screens and reoder them.<\/li>\n<li>Set background image for lock screen: When changing your desktop background image, there are two buttons, choose the right one (smaller area) and save. Now you\u2018ll be asked to use this image for the lockscreen too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Android Apps<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"linklist\">\n<li><em>E-Mail<\/em>: Pinch in the overview list to fold\/unfold by date.<\/li>\n<li><em>E-Mail<\/em>:\u00a0Click longer on a date (either the sent date or a date in the email text): Create a new calendar event for this date.<\/li>\n<li><em>Contacts<\/em>: Drag left over a contact to send SMS, drag right to call.<\/li>\n<li><em>Keypad<\/em>: Use the letters on number keys to type a name, the triangle on the right shows how many matching contacts are found, clicking on it reveals them.<\/li>\n<li><em>Camera<\/em>:\u00a0Change shortcut buttons by clicking <strong>menu<\/strong>, &#8220;Edit&#8221;, then modify shortcut buttons via drag&amp;drop. You can configure shortcuts for picture and video mode independently.<\/li>\n<li><em>Camera<\/em>:\u00a0Pinch to zoom in\/out.<\/li>\n<li><em>Browser<\/em>:\u00a0Pinch to view all tabs\/windows.<\/li>\n<li><em>Browser<\/em>: Go to &#8220;about:debug&#8221; via address bar. Now you have additional options when pressing the menu (at the bottom)<\/li>\n<li><em>Browser<\/em>:\u00a0Go to &#8220;about:useragent&#8221; via address bar. If so, you have to remove this before uninstalling (Settings\/Location and Security\/Device Admin).<\/li>\n<li>Samsung offers a free service to track and control a lost or stolen mobile: Enable &#8220;Remote Access&#8221; in Settings\/Location and Security.
